Export images in JPEG format

The Export images in JPEG format to local disk… menu item can be used to export currently-loaded medical images to the local file system in JPEG format. If you select the Export images in JPEG format to local disk… menu item, the Export images in JPEG format to local dialog will appear, as show in the following picture:

This dialog allows selecting which images need to be exported in JPEG format, as well as the quality and resolution of the JPEG images to be created.

Also, by selecting the Crop images to visible portion option, it is possible to crop images to be exported to the portion which is visible in the currently selected image panel. This option is only available when the export selection is set to Current image or Current series.

Warning: the supported JPEG export format is a lossy compression format. Even if a “100 %” quality is specified, the output image is still lossy.

In the same way, it is possible to export JPEG images to server, by selecting the Export images in JPEG format to server… menu item. This functionality will only be visible and available when RemotEye is configured to communicate with server-side scripts for the storage of non-DICOM files.
